LECTIO MAGISTRALIS: Donatella Di Cesare. Conversation.
An open discussion on the meaning of freedom in an age of war, migration and new forms of exclusion. Donatella Di Cesare invites us to consider responsibility as a critical exercise, examining the relationship between the individual, the community and power without overlooking the complexity of the present.
A philosopher and essayist, she is Professor Emerita of Theoretical Philosophy at ‘La Sapienza’ University in Rome. One of the most authoritative voices in contemporary philosophical debate, her work ranges from hermeneutics to political philosophy, and covers themes such as dissent, violence, migration and democracy. Her works have been translated into numerous languages and contribute to the international debate on the major issues of our time.
