Elisa Seitzinger presents "The women of the Aragonese Castle of Ischia"

The project THE WOMEN OF THE ARAGONESE CASTLE OF ISCHIA stems from the desire to shed light on four figures who were fundamental in the history of this place.

Each in her own way overturned the – all-male – stylistic features of her time and made a name for herself in an era that was certainly not generous to women.

Four lives – rich in events determined by the historical context and the noble origins of each of them – that today can tell us universal qualities.

The beauty of Lucrezia d'Alagno, the spirituality of Beatrice Quadra, the courage of Costanza d'Avalos, the poetry of Vittoria Colonna: distinctive traits, or even just moods of a moment, in which we can certainly find ourselves at certain moments in life.

This idea took shape thanks to loStudio's fortunate encounter with teeshare and the unmistakable style of Elisa Seitzinger, under the artistic direction of Raffaello Lamonaca: together they devised four coats of arms – which you can only buy at loStudio – to represent their universal and extraordinary characters.

On Friday 2 June at 6 p.m., at the Caffetteria del Monastero, Pasquale Raicaldo (la Repubblica) will have a chat with Cristina Mattera of loStudio - who came up with the idea for the project - and with the super illustrator Elisa Seitzinger, who will tell us about her world and the coats of arms created for THE WOMEN OF THE ARAGONESE CASTLE OF ISCHIA.
